ABOUT THE SERIES
In the labyrinthine city sewers, a team of investigators makes a grim discovery: the bodies of teenagers who went missing without a trace, unnoticed and unsearched for. As they unravel the case step by step, the police confront the embodiment of evil—a maelstrom of urban chaos that preys on the vulnerable, those unloved and unwelcomed by their homes. This malevolence destroys lives with impunity, and each character is forced to face it head-on, peering into their own abyss to confront their inner demons and fears.
For Kinopoisk.HD, the leading Russian streaming service, we developed a creative campaign and established a distinctive brand style for the new series.

We expanded on the ideas proposed by the Kinopoisk creative team to achieve a rich visual range in the shortest possible time.
  • Voogie
    Креативный продюсер @Cameraptor
Working with the Kinopoisk team under stringent deadlines, we refused to compromise and strived to set a new benchmark for quality among Russian market series title sequences.
SOCIAL MEDIA VIDEOS
Using footage from the opening title sequence as our foundation, we created video content for social networks in all required formats: square, Instagram stories, and 16:9.
BEFORE - AFTER
GRAPHIC EXAMPLES
We created eighteen frames with computer graphics, sixteen of which were included in the final cut of the title sequence. Below you can view some examples:
POSTERS
During the poster design process, we brainstormed numerous concepts, out of which six were brought to life in resolutions ranging from 6K to 10K.
TEASER POSTER
  • Dmitriy (JD) Juravlev
    Art Director @CAMERAPTOR
Despite the visual simplicity, the teaser poster was a bit more complex than it first appeared.

During the preparation of the advertising campaign, we faced the issue that Igor Mirkurbanov, the actor playing the role of the maniac, was unable to attend the photo session due to an overly tight work schedule.

Therefore, our team had to create a detailed 3D model of the character instead of using a photograph...

TEASER POSTER
PROCESS
The 3D model was created without the use of laser scanning or photogrammetry. Utilizing photo references from the set, our artists manually crafted the character's sculpture...
TEASER POSTER
IN ACTION
Beyond branding the official Kinopoisk.HD website and social media, this poster was adapted by Kinopoisk designers for use on advertising platforms in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
MAIN POSTER
  • Voogie
    Creative Producer
Originally, the series' main poster was to be a different layout. During the production, the Kinopoisk team suggested we develop a more straightforward and succinct concept featuring the main characters standing in a sewer tunnel from the first episode.

The complexity of this poster stemmed from the fact that all actor photos were taken in advance, considering the composition of a different layout, which required us to assemble the heroes' figures from a multitude of disparate photographs.

Furthermore, we lacked an image of the required location in the necessary perspective, prompting our team to create a three-dimensional model of the tunnel.

Main Poster
PROCESS
The main poster is the most critical artistic element of the marketing campaign. From the inception of the working version to the final result, we embarked on an exciting journey through forty-five iterations of revisions.

INTERVIEW WITH ARTISTS

During the photo shoot, we set up a separate video area where we filmed artist interviews based on pre-prepared questions. The final editing of the clips was done by the KinoPoisk team.
BRANDING AND CREATIVE WORK
  • Voogie
    Creative Producer
Working with Vodovorot (WHIRLPOOL), our team focused not only on developing the visual style of the TV series but also conducted comprehensive work on audience analytics, promotion strategy, and generated communication mechanics and scripts for the promotional campaign.

The result of our work was a 136-page "bible" of the TV series that detailed our vision for the positioning and promotion of the project.
Many of the ideas we proposed were not realized due to various reasons; the rest found their embodiment in the official campaign of the TV series...
